I'm trying to understand free tier pricing for AWS Fargate.

I understand that AWS ECS is a container orchestrator service. You can choose to have EC2 instances running in it or Fargate. For EC2 the pricing with AWS free tier is clear. Simply said 750 hours each month before you have to pay. But I can't find any free tier information for ECS with Fargate.

Am I correct to assume this means there is no free tier for ECS with Fargate and that you have to pay from the very first moment of use?

That's correct. At this time the AWS Fargate service does not have a free tier. It is absent from the AWS Free Tier details page here, and there is no free pricing listed on the Fargate pricing page here.
