I have a bachelor's in electrical engineering (1990), an master's in electrical engineering (1991), and I have a PhD in computational neuroscience, from the Computer Science department of Bath University, UK, (1995). My PhD work involved simulating biological neural nets related to vision.

Eventually I worked for Microsoft in the USA for around 15 years, mostly at Microsoft Research, doing computer vision, signal processing, augmented reality, machine learning, feature extraction - writing software, publishing papers and filing patents. I have a particular experience with real time vision, deep learning, SLAM, and various aspects of robotics.

I'm also very interested in fundamental physics, and constantly read about this subject.

I am always into hardware, real time video, control, sensors, and machine intelligence, and doing stuff with Linux, bare metal ARM, and ATMEL chips, and building my own hardware.
