Job: as a spatial analyst for Land Tasmania I create code to improve the workflow efficiency of people within our department who use ArcGIS software. Most of my customisations have been for ArcMap, but have started working with ArcGIS pro. This is mostly in VB.Net C#.Net and arcobjects. Currently programming for ArcGIS Pro. Astronomy research and university teaching of astronomy and physics was my prior career. I specialized in time variability at optical and x-ray wavelengths especially of neutron star and black hole binary systems. Later I moved into finding planets using the micro-lensing techniques. Still do some astronomy research as a hobby. I also enjoy just looking through a telescope.
