I recently changed career gears from industry group Policy Adviser to Data Scientist. I have just kicked off my first job as a Data Scientist - research assistant in the Econometrics Department at my University as of 12/12/2014.

I am doing a Masters in Applied Econometrics and am keen to get as much exposure as I can to working in R, which previously I only used in the most applied way. I have quickly realized that to be any sort of researcher I need to become proficient.
