I'm a long-time Python developer (I spoke at the first Python conference ever!). I particularly focus on web application development for high-availability, large-scaling applications. I'm one of the core contributors and team leaders of the Plone open source CMS, but also do a lot of work with Django and Pyramid. I'm a code contributor for PostgreSQL but tinker from time to time with other object stores, including some of those NoSQL things you kids always talk about.

In my non-work time, I volunteer as an educator and counselor for San Francisco Sex Information (http://sfsi.org), and am a photographer, writer, and fierce political feminist.
