I am a game developer, passionate about games and creating high quality experiences that are fun, joyful and create benefit for humanity.

My specialty is Unity/C#, and I have been developing in Unity since 2011. I love crafting a game from start to finish, and love working with teams. I am highly communicative, have used project management tools, and have 20 years of software development experience.

I currently am working with a small development team called Learning Games (formerly known as Motion Math) that is a part of a much larger company, Curriculum Associates. I started working with the team in early June, and am loving creating high quality math learning games for children grades K-5.

I worked as a senior developer for a small game company, GameTheory, based in Vermont. I was able to be part of the design phase, and execution from quote to release on multiple projects. Most of these were internal tools or granted research projects, but a few of them made it to the open market, listed below.

I have a lot of experience working with a team, connecting and communicating through various means (mostly Slack), coordinating tasks between developers and picking the right developer for the right piece of each project. I have worked on projects that I have done mostly myself, and projects that I have interacted with multiple artists, other developers and a designer. Balancing the goals of project completion with team communication and collaboration

I am passionate about video games, and have been since I was a kid. I am fascinated with what the mechanics of good games consist of, and how they are made. The wide array of different systems that are used by games - gameplay, AI, UI, graphics, particle systems/effects - are all appealing to me, and I love to broadly think about efficient ways to code the systems, and how they interconnect.

I went back to school at Champlain College in 2009, learned the intricacies of game programming, and met the team that I worked with at GameTheory, where I got most of my game development experience.

I love playing games as well. My current favorites are Heathstone and Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
