I'm a front end developer that came from an artistic background and learned my way to designing and building sites. In today's world we all need to know a little bit of everything when it comes to the web, a designer must know how to design a web site so therefore they become web designers, then they must know how to develop the site hence becoming a front end developer and that's where we're at my friends :) gotta love society and their ideas.
