When I try to install psycopg2 using pip install psycopg2 i get this error. What should I do?

You can install the pre-compiled binaries. Please refer to this Answer for more information.

pip install psycopg2-binary

Please follow the instruction: Either you add a directory or you specify the full path with the usage of below option. Another solution is the setup.cfg

pg_config is required to build psycopg2 from source. Please add the directory containing pg_config to the $PATH or specify the full executable path with the option:

python setup.py build_ext --pg-config /path/to/pg_config build ...

or with the pg_config option in 'setup.cfg'.

Otherwise just use the command: pip install psycopg2-binary --> that is also recommended into the message

If you prefer to avoid building psycopg2 from source, please install the PyPI 'psycopg2-binary' package instead.
