There is a similar question that is not answered. It is the same thing I want. Please see that question:

cancel notification with remoteInput not working

I am trying to send the RemoteInput Text in another service, and there I want to kill the service that is the parent of that notification by calling stopService(). But even after calling stopService(), the notification is not dismissed.
