How to resolve Unable to merge dex

Question

When I was compile my application so I got below error like,

Error:Execution failed for task

':app:transformDexArchiveWithExternalLibsDexMergerForDebug'. com.android.builder.dexing.DexArchiveMergerException: Unable to merge dex

I add the multiDexEnabled true in my app.build file but still getting same issue. how can I resolve this error.

Here below my app.build file

Use latest Dependencies for Lifecycle, including LiveData and ViewModel.

Try this

implementation 'android.arch.lifecycle:runtime:1.1.1'
implementation 'android.arch.lifecycle:extensions:1.1.1'
annotationProcessor "android.arch.lifecycle:compiler:1.1.1"

than Clean-Rebuild- Run your project
