When somebody film a video and upload to my website It appears in the horizontally How can I make this vertical? using ffmpeg?
and its only heppend if he film its horizontally.

its not because my question its not to rotate the video its more than that how can the ffmpeg know that he need to rotate because sometimes he need to rotate and sometimes not its depends how the user film the video – user1801625 Nov 06 '12 at 14:31

Use ffmpeg/ffprobe or such tool to detect the dimensions of the video, there is no easy solution. you could also create a thumb of the video and give the user a choice to rotate n recode. – Lawrence Cherone Nov 06 '12 at 14:35
